I was the producer, team lead and primary editor for a documentary video on Native American history within the Willamette Valley in Oregon called "Natives of the Valley: The Grande Ronde Then And Now."
For this project, I lead a team of videographers, 3D modelers and 2D animation artists to meet our production deadlines. I also wrote and narrated the script and was the primary editor.
This video was created in a test production lab by the university called the "I.D.E.A. Lab" for my capstone senior project, as a test for client-focused visualization content created by students.
Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, Ann Christiansen is a prolific Nia Trainer. In this video, Ann speaks about how Nia has effected her and those she teaches.
A movie trailer made for a class project. The video was filmed and edited in one week using one camera to fulfill project requirements.
I filmed a majority of the music video for pop-punk band Real Horrorshow's song, "Elephants Never Forget (The Feelings You Regret)."
Some additional scenes were filmed by a member of the band, who then edited together the video and compressed it multiple times for a class project.
I had the honor of producing an Oregon State University video for the White House's "It's On Us" campaign to talk about sexual assault: to care, to listen, and to speak up in support of survivors.
I was the co-producer, narrator and team leader of this promotional video for the OSU "I.D.E.A. Lab." This video was created as an introduction to the visualization capabilities of the Lab, and contains visualization examples from other projects along with original video and narration elements that my team was responsible for.
I wrote and narrated the script, coordinated filming students at work, and played a large part in conceptualizing and storyboarding the video. The actual editing of the video was done by another team member.
The I.D.E.A. Lab is a place where students can obtain valuable real world experience while finishing their degree. By working alongside educators, industry professionals, and researchers, students create many different forms of visuals to assist in anything from teaching a concept to a class, to helping gain new research grants. Websites, 3D modeling, video production, sound recording and infographics are just a few of the many different skills the I.D.E.A. Lab can teach students. While working with the I.D.E.A. Lab, students will gain a level of unprecedented experience, making them some of the most desirable hires in the industry. The I.D.E.A. Lab is still just a concept that was created by the NMC 498 Capstone class at Oregon State University. Learn more at: osuidealab.org
The "MU Crane" was a construction crane on the Oregon State University campus that became a campus-wide inside joke when it was turned into a meme on social media. Acting on the craze, I attached a GoPro to the infamous crane as a publicity stunt for KBVR-TV.
The resulting "A View From Above" video was prefaced by a teaser commercial called "MU Crane Goes Pro" (filmed and edited by a co-worker) to generate interest before being posted to YouTube and social media. Both videos quickly became some of KBVR-TV's most-viewed videos for that academic year.
